A car took the embattled ex-leader back to the federal police headquarters where he is serving his 27-year prison sentence for leading a coup d'etat aimed at keeping him in office.

Bolsonaro exited the hospital's premises following a double hernia surgery conducted a week ago. The embattled former leader was then driven back to the federal police headquarters where he is currently serving a 27-year prison sentence.
His sentence was a result of his involvement in a coup d'etat aimed at perpetuating his hold on office despite widespread condemnation and protests.
